Status Maxing · Faro.io Corp

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Faro.io Corp (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information in connection with the Status Maxing mobile app (“the app”). We built the app to need as little of your data as possible: it works without an account, keeps your content on your device, and shows no ads and runs no tracking. This policy describes what is handled, why, and the choices and rights you have.

Who We Are

Faro.io Corp is the controller responsible for the limited personal data described in this policy. You can reach us anytime at support@hellofaro.io.

Information We Handle

Data stored on your device. Your daily tips, your chosen interests, and the items you save to your Playbook (favorites) are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is deleted when you delete the app.

Sign in with Apple (optional). The app is fully usable without an account. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple provides us a unique identifier so the app can recognize you across your devices. We use this identifier only to provide the optional account/sync feature. You can continue without an account, and you can delete your account at any time from within the app.

Subscription & identity service (RevenueCat). The app uses RevenueCat to manage the app-user identity associated with your purchase. By default this identity is anonymous — a randomly generated id that is not tied to your name or email. If you use Sign in with Apple, your Apple identifier is associated with that id so the app can recognize you. We do not use this for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Notifications (optional). If you enable the daily reminder, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated on-device; no notification content is sent through our servers.

App Store purchase data. Status Maxing is a one-time paid purchase. Apple processes your payment and provides us with anonymous, aggregated sales and download reports. We never receive or store your payment details.

We do not collect analytics or telemetry, run advertising or ad networks, track you across apps or websites, or access your contacts, location, photos, microphone, or browsing activity.

How We Use Information

  • To provide the app's core features (showing your daily tips and saving your Playbook)
  • To recognize you and sync your progress across devices, if you choose Sign in with Apple
  • To deliver the optional daily reminder you turn on
  • To validate your purchase and provide the paid features you bought
  • To respond to your support requests and meet legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the app and its features you purchased); your consent (optional Sign in with Apple and notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); and our legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the app) where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of providers who act as processors or independent controllers for limited purposes:

ProviderPurposeTheir policy
AppleApp distribution, payments, Sign in with Apple, notificationsapple.com/legal/privacy
RevenueCatApp-user identity and purchase managementrevenuecat.com/privacy

We do not allow these providers to use your information for their own advertising.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA). We disclose information only to the service providers listed above, or where required by law.

Data Retention

Content stored on your device remains until you delete it or delete the app. If you use Sign in with Apple, the associated identifier is retained only while your account exists; deleting your account in-app removes it.

Data Security

Your app content is stored on your device under the operating system's protections. Information exchanged with Apple and RevenueCat is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the limited data involved.

International Data Transfers

Our providers (Apple and RevenueCat) may process data on servers located in the United States or other countries. Where required, those transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards under each provider's own privacy framework.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the app stores your content locally and collects very little, much of this is in your direct control: you can delete your in-app account, turn off notifications, or delete the app to remove your data. For any request that involves us, email support@hellofaro.io and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Changes to This Policy

If our data practices change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above before the change takes effect. Material changes will be reflected here.
